Person to person
Anyone who looks me up can find fourteen years of practice here in town.

Physician · Business owner · Laredo, Texas
I'm Dr. Olayinka Holt. I'm a kidney specialist, and I've run my own medical practice here in Laredo for fourteen years.
Medicine first
I'm a nephrologist, a doctor for the kidneys, and I practice internal medicine. My practice is Bethsaida Nephrology and Internal Medicine on Springfield Avenue. I see patients at Laredo Medical Center and Doctors Hospital of Laredo.
When COVID-19 reached our city, I was one of the first doctors in the Laredo COVID-19 Coalition, treating patients who had the virus.
Why business
Hiring licensed people and keeping them. A schedule that holds, bills that get collected, and the phone answered when something breaks after hours. A medical practice and an air conditioning company are not as different as they sound.
Many owners of Laredo's heating and air conditioning companies are getting ready to retire. I want to buy one of those companies and keep it the way its owner built it: the same name, the same people, the same customers. I'm keeping my practice, and Laredo is small enough that I'll be at the shop regularly. Where there's a manager to be made, I'd rather promote one of the team than bring in a stranger.
The commercial side is what interests me most. Warehouses, cold storage, public buildings, schools. That work runs on maintenance agreements and relationships built over years, not on chasing the next install. It's a harder business to build and a better one to own, which is why I'd rather buy one than start one.

I would far rather hear 'not found' than a guess. Saying so up front tells me a lot.
Laredo is a small city, and I'm known here as a physician. I won't take a shortcut that puts my name at risk.
